In order to sell expertise or other live, personalized help on Rogomo, you need to create an account either to “sell” or “buy and sell”. If all you want to do is to sell, then choose “I only want to sell” during the signup process. If you want to both buy and sell, then choose “I want to buy and sell.”

Additionally, in order to sell expertise or other live, personalized help on Rogomo, you will need to create a free Premier or Business PayPal account to accept credit card payments from buyers (why?).

Please note that if you change your mind later, you can edit your Rogomo account at any time to add (or subtract) the ability to buy or sell expertise. For more information on editing your account, see Managing Your Account.

No, it is completely free to create an account with Rogomo regardless of whether you sign up as a Buyer or Expert (or both). There are no signup fees, no connection fees, and no monthly fees, nor are there any fees to be listed in our Expert Directory.

Rogomo will only charge you a small commission when you sell advice or other help to a Buyer. Also, depending on the type of account you have, PayPal may charge you a small additional fee.

An AVS (Address Verification System) check is a procedure that Rogomo uses to verify that the name and address that you and other users provide in your Rogomo Accounts is accurate.

To conduct an AVS check, Rogomo requires that all new users provide certain credit card or debit card information. Rogomo uses this information to verify the name and address that the user provided Rogomo through an AVS check, which may include authorizing and voiding a small amount to your card.

AVS checks help us ensure the safety and security of the Rogomo community, and Rogomo does not store your credit card or debit card information after your AVS check is complete.

Rogomo requires all Experts to create a free Premier or Business PayPal account so that they can easily accept payments from Buyers. Your PayPal account allows Buyers to pay you by credit card, debit card or by PayPal transfer, and gives Buyers the peace of mind that comes with using PayPal. All proceeds from your sales on Rogomo are deposited immediately into your PayPal account.

Please note that if you want to accept credit card payments from your buyers, you will need to be sure to create a free Premier or Business account with PayPal rather than a basic Personal account.
