The easiest way to find an Expert is to use the Directory on the bottom of our Home Page. Just type in a few keywords into the “Search” field and press Return. For example, if you're looking for an Expert to help you learn to speak Spanish, you might want to try searching for the term “Spanish”. You can also choose from a list of popular keywords that other Buyers have used to search for Experts.
Based on your keyword search, we'll give you a list of Experts who match your search criteria. The first list that you'll see will display Experts based on relevance of your keywords, however you are free to re-order the list to display Experts based on their Expert Ratings, total minutes sold, time on Rogomo and online status.
In addition to our Directory, you can also find Rogomo Experts in many places across the Internet. Many Rogomo Experts advertise their expertise via Rogomo Widgets. Here's what they look like:
You can find Rogomo Widgets many places across the Internet, including on Experts' individual blogs, social networking profiles (i.e., MySpace), Internet message boards or other websites. For example, if you find an Expert's Widget on a blog, just click on the Widget and you will be taken directly to the Expert's Profile, where you can learn more about the Expert's field of expertise and start a session.
There are three key ways to evaluate an Expert: (1) by his/her Expert Profile, (2) by his/her Expert Rating, and (3) whether or not the Expert is a “Verified Expert”.
An Expert Profile is an Expert's “home page” on the Rogomo website where you can learn personal information about the Expert and the expertise that he or she sells (sample profile). An Expert Profile will normally tell you:
An Expert Rating is the rating that the Expert has been given by his or her prior Buyers. At the end of every paid Rogomo transaction, Buyers have the opportunity to rate their Expert with a “positive”, “neutral” or “negative” rating. An Expert's Expert Rating is the composite of all of the ratings he or she has received on Rogomo, and can help you make a decision whether or not to enter into a transaction with that Expert. Expert Ratings are displayed in our Directory and also on each Expert's Profile.
Finally, if an Expert is identified as a “Verified Expert”, that means that the Expert meets the criteria of Rogomo’s Verified Expert Program. See below for more information.
If an Expert is identified as a “Verified Expert”, that means that the Expert meets the criteria of Rogomo’s Verified Expert Program, including that the Expert has successfully verified to Rogomo that he/she has a recognized certification and/or license in the field in which they have applied to provide expertise, and that he/she meets certain background safety requirements. Detailed information about Rogomo’s Verified Expert Program is available here. To determine if an Expert is a “Verified Expert”, just look for this logo:
